So that means that any time I move my cursor all the way down to the bottom right it goes to sleep right away. At Hot Corners I can set the bottom right corner to put the display to sleep. I'm going to go into Mission Control and use Hot Corners. So I'm going to go to the main System Preference area. You can also go to the Apple menu here and go to Sleep and that puts it to sleep very quickly. MAC SLEEP TIMER WITH SIRI MACOne way is to tap the power button on your MacBook and just by pressing it you should be putting your Mac to sleep by default. There are other ways that you can do this. But basically having the screen go off after two minutes of nonuse is not going to actually put your Mac completely to sleep. With the display off all you need to do is tap the space bar and it comes back on instantly. It's going to save a lot of battery power. So having it set to turn off the display after a certain amount of time, maybe just a few minutes with not using your computer, is very important. It used to be you would see a sleep time here or maybe two. You don't even see the word here in this slider. You can see there is not set time to go to sleep. The one you want to be most concerned about is when you're on Battery. You have two different sets here: Battery and Power Adapter. Under Energy Saver you've got your Settings. So let's start by looking at System Preferences here. So when you're not plugged in having your Mac Sleep as much as possible when you're not using it is very important.
